Separating Fact from Fiction in the News

Thursday, March 23rd, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Concerned about “fake news”?  Unsure about how to find trustworthy sources for news and separating fact from fiction or bias? We welcome Tommy Thomason, founding director of the Texas Center for Community Journalism at Texas Christian University, who will be speaking on this and other issues of concern with news media. You won’t want to miss this informative, engaging, and important discussion.

Coloring for Grown ups

Every second Thursday of the month.

Why should kids have all the fun? Join us at the library for a fun night of coloring and other paper crafts. The library will provide coloring sheets designed for adults, colored pencils, and light refreshments. Feel free to bring your own coloring and paper craft supplies!

Needlework in the Evening

Every third Tuesday of the month

Are you looking for the crochet class or knitting group? Don’t worry, the knitting and crochet groups have combined forces! The needlework group is a great way to meet fellow crafters who enjoy crochet, embroidery, knitting, or any other type of hand work. Share ideas and hone skills. Open to all ages and skill levels. Just bring your own materials (yarn, needles/hooks). 


Book Club

Every third Thursday of the month.

March selection: The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

Join the book club on the third Thursday of each month! Adults of all ages are welcome to attend and discuss the book selection of the month. A free copy of the book may be picked up at the library information desk. Books are available on a first-come, first served basis.

Every fourth Tuesday of the month.

March Theme: A book set in the 20th century/1900s.

Join us on the fourth Tuesday of every month for a book discussion and bagels. It’s a chance to share your thoughts on a book of your choosing that follows our theme for the month, and you will learn new titles to add to your must read list.
