In addition to the two community-wide “town hall” meetings the library is holding on May 26 and June 4, we will be holding a special meetingthat will be designed specifically for non-profit and business leaders. Possible topics to be considered:
-What can WPL do to help you with your staff development?
-Are WPL's public meeting spaces sufficient for your needs?
-How can WPL help you with fundraising?
-Should WPL host more professional development events?
-Should WPL host more motivational speakers and business authors?
-Anything else you want to discuss that relates to how the library can help your business or organization thrive!
If you are interested in quality library services for Weatherford businesses and organizations now and in the future, your presence at this meeting is critical. City Administration uses attendance at these meetings to gauge public interest in library improvements. Open to all, not just Weatherford residents.
May 26, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
The Weatherford Public Library, in conjunction with consultants Dewberry Architects, Inc., will be holding community input sessions. These will be devoted to gathering ideas on the direction of the Weatherford Public Library, specifically its facility, collections, and the services offered. Participants will be asked for their opinions on various aspects of library operations, which will be used in the foundation of a strategic plan that will most likely include an expansion of library facilities or a new library building. The second meeting will be a repeat of the first, so you only need to attend one.
If you are interested in quality library services for Weatherford and the Parker County area now and in the future, your presence at this meeting is critical, so please mark your calendars now and plan to attend. City Administration uses attendance at these meetings to gauge public interest in library improvements. The meetings will be open to all, not just Weatherford residents.
