Prior to her work with the City of Weatherford, Nicole
Wright established a rich background in both social media and marketing.
After graduating from Aledo, Nicole left her hometown of Weatherford to pursue
a Bachelor Degree in Strategic Communications and a Master of Liberal Arts from
Texas Christian University. During her time at TCU Nicole served on the Public Relations
Student Society of America board as both Marketing & Historian
Vice-President and as President. She planned events, created the website,
attended national trainings and conferences, all in an effort to sharpen her
marketing skills. Nicole was also a radio DJ for KTCU with her own show on
three times a week during her time at TCU.
Nicole took classes that focused on the creation of graphics,
videos, marketing plans, advertising law, and global citizenship to better
serve her in her future career. She minored in English and Writing Emphasis.
During her time as an Undergraduate student she attended classes full-time
while having a student job and holding multiple internships. Nicole then
continued at TCU to obtain her masters. Nicole worked full-time on campus and
was the Communications and Marketing Coordinator for a local popsicle company
out of Fort Worth before moving to work with a mortgage Company in Fort Worth.
During her time at the mortgage company she planned corporate wide trainings on
business development and marketing, as well as running on going campaigns to
build the company’s brand and bring in new business.
Nicole now serves as the city’s Communications &
Marketing Coordinator. She is responsible for the Employee Edge, social media
accounts, city marketing trainings, video creation and maintaining the city’s
marketing plan. Nicole also is on the committee to help coordinate and maintain our city-run tourism brand Experience Weatherford.
