ADULT SUMMER LIBRARY CHALLENGE 

June 1st - July 31st, 2023

The Weatherford Public Library offers a Summer Library Challenge for adults of any age! Why should kids have all of the fun? For eight weeks during the summer, you can earn prizes by reading, attending programs, and exploring library resources. 

The Adult Summer Library Challenge is made possible by the Friends of Weatherford Public Library and our many partners. Thanks to their generosity, all summer activities at Weatherford Public Library are free.

Are you an adult aged 18 or older?

If yes, our Adult Summer Library Challenge (SLC) was created just for you because we don’t believe that only the kids get to have fun over the summer!

Registering is Easy 

Register for the Summer Library Challenge online using Beanstack or see a librarian for assistance getting registered. If you used Beanstack previously, your same account will work to participate again this summer. Passwords can be reset if they have been forgotten. 

How To Earn Points

Read, complete challenges, and participate in events June 1st through July 31st, and you will earn points. Every minute read = 1 point, challenges and events have a 5 point value each. 

How to Earn Prizes and SLC Drawings Tickets

On Beanstack, track your time spent reading (this includes graphic novels, magazines, eBooks, and listening to audiobooks), as well as each challenge you complete or event that you participate in order to earn points, prizes, and tickets for the SLC Drawings. Each adult reader will receive a registration prize, and prizes at the 600 and 1200 point levels. After 1200 points, earn tickets for our Mega Prize drawings every 300 points. You choose from several prizes and place each ticket towards one of these selections for a chance to win.

Adult Prizes: Readers who earn 600 points will win an exclusive Multi-tool Keychain. Readers who reach 1200 points will win an exclusive Weatherford Public Library Tote Bag. These prizes are limited in number and once they are gone, they’re gone!

How to Redeem SLC Drawings Tickets 

Beanstack will keep track of the tickets that you earn. You can designate which prize(s) you want your tickets submitted toward for the SLC Drawings. 

Prize Distribution

At the end of the Summer Reading Challenge, Beanstack will randomly select winners from all tickets entered in the SLC Drawings. Winners will be drawn the week of August 1st - 5th. Winners will be contacted and prizes must be claimed from the library by Thursday, September 1st or we will have Beanstack draw a new winner.
