The goal for Blue Guardian of Weatherford is to create positive relationships with vulnerable youth in our community. This program has countless benefits for the children, the officer, the department and our community.  We are currently partnered with The Pythian Home, who expressed a need for one-on-one mentorship with their kids.  They currently offer temporary placement for 22 kids ranging from three years to high school.  Building relationships with these kids offers them positive interactions with a police officer, a positive role model and a friend.  Children with mentors are proven to be more likely to graduate, attend college and are less likely to become involved in criminal activity.  Never underestimate the influence that you can have on a child in need.
