Weatherford Firefighters hold the responsibility and duty to respond to a variety of emergencies 24/7 rain or shine. These include medical emergencies, structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, and hazardous material spills to name a few. 

Weatherford firefighters also facilitate and participate in fire prevention/education programs and public relations events. 

The Weatherford Fire Department staffs four stations with 18 personnel a day with a 15 personnel minimum staffing level. These four stations house three engines, a truck, a squad and a battalion chief. Firefighters work 24 hours on and 48 hours off.
