What is considered to be high weeds and grass?
An owner, occupant, or person lawfully in control of property commits an offense if weeds and or grass are permitted to grow on the said property to a height in excess of ten (10) inches.

Can the city do anything about people who have lots of trash and debris at their homes?
Yes. Contact Code Enforcement and provide the address of the property with the accumulation of junk, trash, etc. It violates local ordinances to accumulate debris, junk, trash, etc.

Does the Code Enforcement Department handle abandoned vehicles that are parked on a street or highway?
No, Code Enforcement only handles vehicles that are on private property. You may contact the Weatherford Police Department to have abandoned cars on a public street or highway removed. The non-emergency number is 817-598-4300.
