At the Weatherford Police Department, our professional staff plays a vital role in keeping our agency running smoothly and our community safe. Here’s a look at some of the key roles within our department:
π Records Clerks
Our Records Clerks are the organizational backbone of the department. They process police reports, handle public information requests, maintain records in compliance with state and federal regulations, and greet visitors at the front window with professionalism and care.
π Property & Evidence Technicians
These team members ensure the integrity of all evidence and property that comes through our doors. They log, store, track, and release items while maintaining strict chain-of-custody procedures. Their attention to detail plays a major role in the success of investigations and court proceedings.
π§ͺ Crime Scene Investigators (CSIs)
Our CSIs respond to major crime scenes to photograph, collect, and process evidence. They work closely with patrol officers and detectives to uncover the physical clues that help solve cases. A strong background in science, attention to detail, and investigative thinking are key in this role.
π° Finance Specialist
From budgeting and payroll to purchasing and compliance, the Finance Specialist keeps our department fiscally responsible and mission-ready. This role requires strong organizational and financial skills, and it plays a crucial part in supporting every division within WPD.
π Crime Analyst
Our Crime Analyst turns data into action. They review trends, map incidents, and provide valuable insights that help officers prevent crime, allocate resources efficiently, and improve community safety.
