Digital ReeL is WPL’s digital newspaper archive. Nearly all of the newspapers WPL has on microfilm have been digitized and you can now search, view, print, clip, and save newspaper articles from any computer with a web browser and an Internet connection anytime! Newspapers available are:
- The Weatherford Democrat 1906-1959, 1961-1964,1966-1967, 1969-2009 (2009-present coming soon!)
- The Daily Herald (Weatherford) 1902-1962
- The Weekly Herald (Weatherford) 1900-1908, 1911-1953, 1956-1958
- The Mineral Wells Index 1902, 1903, 1907, 1949, 1951-1952, 1988-2000, 2002-2009
If you have original newspapers from any of the missing years and would be willing to loan them to the library for scanning, we’d love to hear from you!
