Soldier Spring Park is the kind of place where you can do it all—or just kick back and do nothing at all. With wide open spaces, shady spots, trails, colorful blooms, and plenty of room for play, it’s a park that has a little bit of everything.


Amenities & Features

  • Baseball & Softball Fields: Seven lighted fields. 

  • Tennis Complex: Weatherford’s only municipal tennis complex, featuring three courts with overhead lighting.

  • Trails: Over one mile of interconnected asphalt and natural trails accessible from Charles, Thrush, and Russell Streets—great for walking and wildlife viewing.

  • Picnic Areas: Multiple spots ideal for family gatherings and outdoor meals.

  • Playground: A well-maintained playground for children’s enjoyment.

  • Veterans Memorial: Located in the lower section of Soldier Spring Park, the Veterans Memorial honors the nearly 15,000 veterans of Parker County. This peaceful space features a pavilion, a Prayer Garden around a historic spring, an Obelisk representing all military branches, a Walk of Honor, and a Gold Star Families Monument—serving as a place for remembrance.
